REVIEW: BENEFIT PRODUCTS (inspired by The Lush List!)

So sorry this one has been a while in the makings...I had to ponder over this entry for a fair while and also sift through drawers of make up to find specific products that were previously resigned to the abyss....First off I don't have an awful lot of Benefit products and this is mostly down to the price. I just find the odd £20 for one item a bit too much, especially if the said item turns out

Enormous Lash...the beginnings....

So I finally finally finished my 28 days with Talika Liposils and am now making my experimental way through the original formula of "Enormous Lash".I've chosen to go with the original formula as every review I've read says that the new "improved" version doesn't do anything. There were however, much raving over this first formulation so I tracked one down.I've tried to take better before photos

Huge Lips - Skinny Hips!!!!

The latest magic trick to hit the beauty market is this ingenious little gloss & I just love the name - 'Huge Lips - Skinny Hips'! The product basically claims that while it gives you the perfect full glossy pout it also helps to curb your appetite at the same time, too good to be true...well maybe?!
It contains Hoodia Gordonii extract that is derived from a plant found in Namibia, the manufacturers say that it is known for its many appetite suppressing benefits. What they claim is that once the gloss applied, you should run your tongue over the lips whenever you feel hungry, in just a few seconds that feeling of hunger will disappear... I am yet to be totally convinced! Although with Vitamin B3 the gloss stimulates the blood flow to the lips to create fuller pout without the stinging sensation of other products, after regular use they claim that this can also help reduce any fine lines & wrinkles around the mouth area too.
Well over all as I've mentioned I am very dubious about it actually reducing your appetite to aid weight loss, but it certainly will give you beautiful pout & with the name I'm sure it'll be cult product in no time! £18 at Space NK from 01/03

REVIEW: TALIKA LIPOSILS LASH CONDITIONER GEL RESULTS!

So my 28 days are up...in fact they were up quite a few days ago so I can now finally write my review on Talika Liposils!First off have to apologise for my terrible photos...I have the world's worst camera...an Olympus digital thing...it's terrible for taking close up images. I know that photos are vital to a good review so I'm really sorry about this!Anyway...So what did I think?I'm actually

Oscar Glamour!

Oscar glamour sparkled all over the world last night & as the stars gathered on the red carpet the media frenzy began..!! Here are a few of our favourites from the night!
Firstly lady of the night Kate Winslet who has most certainly been the toast of this years awards season! Kate looked demure & stunning as ever in a deep grey & black satin dress by Yves Saint Laurent, her hair was elegantly swept back with a vintage style & her make-up perfectly flawless & glowing! Get Kate's flawless skin by applying a light base of 'Chanel Pro Lumiere' foundation, it is semi matte to create a perfect finish & it's reflecting pigments give your skin a fresh radiant appearance! Sweep some of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick Compact across your cheeks & lightly over the t-Zone to give a light warm glow.
Sarah Jessica Parker stole the show on the red carpet with her very extravagant Dior gown, which she apparently struggled with as she manoeuvred her way through the crowds, some criticised it for being a tad over the top, but I think SJP pulls it off fabulously!

Heidi Klum looked colourful & fantastic in a bright coral number & Anne Hathaway shimmered & sparkled in a beautiful Armani Prive jewel encrusted dress, again with an elegant vintage hair design she looked the epitome of classic Oscar glamour!

Of course the talk of the evening were Hollywood A-listers Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie as well as Jennifer Aniston with her Partner John Mayer. Angelina opted for a classic black dress, only picking up one colour with vibrant emerald earings, she also sported her signature make-up look with very defined eyeliner on the top lash line & neutral lips, again very simple & classic. Jennifer Aniston also sparkled in gold & was certainly glowing as she took to the red carpet!

Victoria Beckham At Giorgio Armani Launch

Victoria Beckham has always been a fashion icon but her status has increased dramatically in the last year as her second dress collection was met with great success on Sunday at New York Fashion Week & described by critics as 'accomplished', her first collection virtually sold out immediately on it's launch last year as well. Stepping out to Giorgio Armani's launch party for his new 5th Avenue Store in New York last night she was looking a tad on the thin side & the curves displayed in the multi million dollar ad campaign for the Armani Lingerie collection are clearly now a thing of the past! However her toned legs were on show in a fabulous sparkly asymmetrical tunic number - bang on trend as usual! After her very successful debut on Sunday Victoria showed up to support the latest launch in the Armani brand saying - 'I have so much respect for Mr. Armani - you know, I can dream.'

Baby Lotion Set To Be This Season's Top Product

With Fashion Week upon us, we’re all dying to see the trends we’ll be sporting come autumn. But one accessory that never goes out of fashion is JOHNSON’S Baby Lotion, which has been a firm favourite with fashionistas for 50 years, including modern day icons Erin O’Connor and Gwyneth Paltrow. And it’s not just the fashion set in the know – more than 3 bottles of JOHNSON’S Baby Lotion are sold every second in the UK!
Make up artist Jo Gillingwater, who has worked with models including the might Kate Moss, shares her must have beauty tip for the season: “The key to great make up is a great base, so ensure you apply your make up to clean and moisturised skin. Dab JOHNSON’S Baby Lotion onto skin before applying make up for a babysoft skin.”

LOOT & PLUNDER!

Ok so I didn't charge into the shops on pirate ship and screech "Avast YE!" and steal myself some treasure...but "loot and plunder" just sounded good *nods*Am afraid this week is proving to be a rather testing one so apologies in advance if this week's blogs are particularly lame...*sigh*Let's get cracking!1) Too Faced Beauty Lash Injection Pin Point MascaraI read about this in the Lush List's

MUTTERINGS...IT HAD TO HAPPEN SOONER OR LATER!

REVIEW: "DARK ANGELS" "HELL'S ANGELS" CLEANSER BY LUSH (NOT IN SHOPS YET)

Very exciting blog today (well I am v excited anyway).I went to Lush during my lunch break (horray for Westfield!) to try and get my mitts on the new cleanser called "Dark Angels" as I absolutely adore the "Angels On Bare Skin" cleaner. Unfortunately it wasn't out yet so I asked them when they were likely to get some in stock. I was told it's still in it's testing stages but I am very excited to

Madonna's Latest Shoot for W Magazine (Mar 2009)

Here's a sneak preview of Madonna's latest shoot with W Magazine, clearly her new single status agrees with her as she is indeed looking better than ever! The shoot which has a very vintage & sultry feel was shot by photographer Steven Klein in Rio de Janeiro, she is pictured alongside model Jesus Lu in many provocative poses, one where they share a passionate kiss & many others where he photographed naked as Madonna looks on.. Also featuring in the photoshoot is one of Victoria Beckham's creations from her latest dress collection (black dress with white trimmed neckline & sleeves). As Madonna's relationship with model Jesus is hot on the rumour mill since, the whole shoot has caused quite a stir - a lady very much in know of how to gain the maximum publicity...!

REVIEW: MAC MINERALIZE SKINFINISH DEGRADE

So I caved in and bought the "redhead" version of the MSD...I didn't really have any plans to get anything from this Mac collection but when I went to purchase my Vapour eyeshadow last week (yes I still have to review this..sorry!), the oriental girl who served me had amazing cheek colour and when I asked her what it was she told me it was the MSD.So I pondered over it and decided to get one!At

Hello Kitty Mac Collection...

Just in case you haven’t seen this video doing the rounds, this is Mac’s “Hello Kitty” launch video. I have to agree with everyone, this is very Gwen “What You Waitin For?”…and I can see it’s trying to be all Harajuku-esque but being the Lolita Loon as I am, I think it would have been nicer if the outfit was from Baby, The Stars Shine Bright…but I do like the wrist cuffs *nods*And what’s with the

The Reverse-Mani is very hot this year & a great way to vamp up your look on a Saturday night, forget the WAG talons, it's all about sophistication & mixing up colours! Experimentation is key & don't be afraid to push the boat out with it!! If you have trouble getting a steady line at the tip then try out Sally Hansen Manicure Guides (£1.99) for the perfect finish, but practice does indeed make perfect!

Unfortunately, today was not one of those days but I did get my mitts on Stella McCartney Madonna Red Nose Day vest...which I heart very much. I was a

LASHES UPDATE

So if anyone is wondering how my lashes are doing...here's a little update.I'm now on day 11 of using Talika Liposils...I've been using it morning and evening and whilst they feel much stronger and not as dry, I'm not noticing a HUGE amount of difference.I've been coating my bottom lashes in it too and I THINK there is a bit of growth to it, but of course this might just all be in my head and a
